Rich Hill Lands On Injured List With Knee Sprain
2 years agoThe Boston Red Sox placed left-handed pitcher Rich Hill (knee) on the 15-day injured list on Saturday due to a left knee sprain. The 42-year-old suffered the injury during his start against the Chicago Cubs on Friday. After the start, he told reporters that he felt his knee pop during the outing. Red Sox pitchers are currently battered by injuries with fellow starters Chris Sale (ribs) and Nathan Eovaldi (back) also on the injured list. Connor Seabold, who is currently at Triple-A, is a candidate to join the rotation for now. We could also potentially see the team call up his Triple-A teammate Brayan Bello, who has been one of the most hyped-up players in the team's minor league system this year. Bello has a 2.33 ERA, a 1.04 WHIP and a 12.1 K/9 average across 85 innings split between Double-A and Triple-A.
