Rhys Hoskins Continues To Carry Offense In Loss
7 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies offense has been lackluster to begin the new season, with six batters hitting under .200 presently. While two are hitting in the .280s, last year’s phenom, Rhys Hoskins, remains the force of the batting order. The 25-year-old picked up two hits and walked once in Wednesday's 4-2 defeat, raising his batting average to .471 for the season. While manager Gabe Kapler stated the outfield would work in a rotation, Hoskins bat is simply too strong to remove from the lineup at this point. Expect to see him consistently for the struggling Phillies as the rest of the offense finds itself.
