Reynaldo Lopez Takes The Loss Monday
1 year agoChicago White Sox reliever Reynaldo Lopez came into the eighth inning of Monday's game against the Los Angeles Angels trying to preserve a 1-1 tie. The right-hander threw a successful first frame but went back out in the ninth and allowed a leadoff walk that eventually came around to score. It was Lopez's fifth loss of the campaign, and he's now sporting a 5.45 ERA and 1.36 WHIP with 40 strikeouts over 33 innings pitched. The 29-year-old had some fantasy value earlier in the season as he recorded four saves before May 6, but he has yet to earn another save since. Fantasy managers can drop Lopez in all standard formats considering his meager numbers.
