Reynaldo Lopez Earns Four-Out Save Tuesday
2 years agoChicago White Sox relief pitcher Reynaldo Lopez earned his third save of the season in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Phillies in Game 2 of a doublehader. Lopez entered the game up three with two outs in the eighth inning and a runner on third. He ended the inning with a strikeout and stayed on to pitch the ninth, closing things out with a 1-2-3 inning and two more strikeouts. Lopez has been the go-to in save situations for the White Sox so far this season and has converted three of four save chances. He has an impressive 15.58 K/9, but he also has a poor 5.19 BB/9 and a 6.23 ERA. At this point, the 29-year-old carries considerable risk in roto leagues, even being the team's preferred closing option.
