Reiss Knehr To Start Padres Final Game
3 years agoSan Diego Padres pitcher Reiss Knehr has been named the team's starting pitcher for their final game of the year against the San Francisco Giants on Sunday. The 24-year-old has made four starts and seven relief appearances for the Padres this year. He's spent the bulk of the year in the minors, making 19 appearances across Double-A and Triple-A. Over his 11 games with the Padres this year, he has gone 1-1 with a 4.85 ERA, a 1.46 WHIP and a 1.0 K/BB ratio. He's given up a lot of hard contact (42.9% hard-hit rate) and his 5.33 xERA suggests he's been a bit lucky with his overall results so far.
