Reilly Smith Dealt From Golden Knights To Penguins
1 year agoThe Vegas Golden Knights have traded forward Reilly Smith to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for a 2024 third-round draft pick. Smith carries a $5 million cap hit for the next two seasons as the 32-year-old is fresh off of a Stanley Cup championship with Vegas. The veteran winger collected the second-best point total of his career this past season, notching 26 goals and 56 points across 78 games while adding four goals and 14 points across 22 playoff contests. Smith should slide into the second-line left-wing spot with a Penguins club that failed to make the playoffs for the first time since the 2005-06 campaign.
