Regression Due For Rams D/ST
1 month agoThe Los Angeles Rams' defense turned in their best game of the season in Week 7, holding the Las Vegas Raiders to 15 points and registering two sacks, three interceptions, and a fumble recovered and returned for a touchdown. It was the first time in 2024 that Los Angeles kept an opponent under 24 points and the four takeaways matched their production in the five games prior. It would be a great surprise if the unit repeated that effort in Week 8 when the Rams have it out with the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night. Led by Justin Jefferson and a rejuvenated Aaron Jones, Minnesota averages 28 points per game. The Vikings are one of the more turnover-prone teams in the league and Sam Darnold has been sacked 18 times so far but, Week 7 excepted, Los Angeles has shown an inability to force takeaways and is tied for the league's lowest sack conversion rate. Streamers should look ahead to the weekend for an option at D/ST rather than start the week rolling the dice on the Rams.
