Redskins promote Jehu Chesson
6 years agoThe Washington Redskins added wide receiver Jehu Chesson to the 53-man roster from their practice squad. Chesson replaces rookie Trey Quinn, who was placed on Injured Reserve after undergoing ankle surgery. The 24-year-old saw action in 12 games, mainly on special teams, as a rookie with the Kansas City Chiefs last season. He finished the campaign with two receptions for 18 yards and also averaged 21.7 yards on three kickoff returns. It is unlikely that Chesson will have much of a role on offense, as he will be either the fifth or sixth receiver on the depth chart, depending on the health of Maurice Harris (concussion).
