Reds Going With Six-Man Rotation
6 years agoThe Cincinnati Reds will temporarily go with a six-man rotation, and starting pitcher Sal Romano will go Wednesday against the Cardinals. Manager Jim Riggleman doesn't expect it to last long term, even if Matt Harvey isn't traded at the deadline. Homer Bailey is returning to the rotation this week, but Romano will remain in the mix for now. Romano sports a 5.19 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and mediocre 6.4 K/9 on the season in 20 games (19 starts) and isn't a recommended streamer for his start Wednesday.
