6 years agoThe Boston Red Sox have had contract-extension talks with starting pitcher Chris Sale as the season approaches. Sale is due to become a free agent after the 2019 season, so the Red Sox may want to lock him up now. The hard-throwing left-hander has been excellent for the Red Sox but had some shoulder fatigue in the second half last season. He's still one of the best starters in baseball, but the team will likely take it easy on him this spring after he reached 200 innings in three of the last four seasons.
