Ravens Trying To Keep Alex Collins Fresh
6 years agoBaltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said the team is trying to keep Alex Collins fresh after he played just 27 snaps in the Week 5 overtime loss to the Browns. "A fresh running back is a good thing. We need to spread the load," Harbaugh said. Collins had 12 carries for 59 yards (4.9 yards per carry) on Sunday, but it's concerning that he continues to be out-snapped by Javorius Allen, who is also getting valuable red-zone and goal-line touches over Collins. Until that changes, Allen is the preferred flex option, especially in PPR leagues. Collins has only nine receptions in five games.
