Ravens Sign Quarterback Brett Hundley
2 years agoThe Baltimore Ravens have signed free-agent quarterback Brett Hundley. The 28-year-old spent part of 2021 with the Indianapolis Colts, moving back and forth between the practice squad and active roster. A former fifth-round pick out of UCLA by the Green Bay Packers in 2015, Hundley eventually earned the second-string role behind starter Aaron Rodgers following some impressive preseason performances and saw the only starts of his pro career in 2017 after Rodgers went down with a broken collarbone. Over nine starts, he finished that year with 1,836 passing yards, nine touchdowns, and 12 interceptions, adding 270 yards and two additional scores on the ground. Hundley's relief of Rodgers was not enough to win him a starting job with another team. Instead, he backed up established starters in Seattle and Arizona before his stint in Indianapolis. Hundley will likely be the third-string quarterback in Baltimore, behind Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley.
