Ravens Plan To Start Lamar Jackson Against Falcons
6 years agoThe Baltimore Ravens are planning to start rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson in Week 13 against the Falcons, according to sources. Veteran Joe Flacco (hip) will need to get in a full week of practice to have a shot at playing this Sunday, and he has not been cleared as of Tuesday. Flacco could return to practice in the coming days, but as of now it looks like Jackson will get his third straight start in a good matchup. Flacco hasn't been on the field in three and a half weeks, so even if he's active this weekend, we don't see him playing much, if at all. Jackson hasn't gone over 200 yards passing in his two starts and has one touchdown and three interceptions, but his upside relies in his legs -- he has 37 carries for 190 yards and a score on the ground. In a good matchup against Atlanta, Jackson has low-end QB1 upside if he makes another start. Leave Flacco to the waiver wire.
