Rasmus Ristolainen Buries OT Winner To Down Canadiens
6 years agoBuffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen scored 1:38 into overtime to beat the Canadiens 6-5 on Thursday night. The big Finnish rearguard blasted a slapper past Carey Price before getting mobbed by his teammates. Ristolainen has had a mediocre offensive start to the season with two goals, five assists, four power-play points, and a minus-11 rating through 16 games. On the other hand, he has been stacking periphery categories with 38 shots, 46 hits, and 28 blocks. Ristolainen is the power-play quarterback for the Sabres and should start putting up more points. He has broken the 40-point threshold in each of the past three seasons and can serve as a decent D2 for fantasy managers.
