Boston Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask did not practice on Monday and may not return to the Bruins starting lineup on Tuesday for their match against the Detroit Red Wings. The Finnish goaltender did not play on Saturday versus Montreal, with Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy citing a “very minor injury” that kept Rask out of the crease for the rivalry game. It is unclear as to whether the injury is serious enough to be an ongoing concern as the Bruins make a push for the playoffs, or if the team is just allowing Rask to rest while Bruins backup netminder Anton Khudobin is performing well. Rask has appeared in 42 of the Bruins 63 games played this season, carrying a 26-11-4 record with a 2.27 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage. After Tuesday’s match, the Bruins return to action on Thursday night versus the Philadelphia Flyers.--Alex McKenzie
