Rashod Bateman Returns To Practice
3 years agoBaltimore Ravens first-round wide receiver Rashod Bateman returned to practice Monday morning after missing a few days last week. The rookie wide receiver has received high praise from his teammates, specifically Sammy Watkins, who said that Bateman "is a pro already." Teammate Marquise Brown is also not practicing with a hamstring injury. Though Baltimore finished last in the NFL in pass attempts per game in 2020 (27.5), they also finished 12th in passing offense DVOA. Bateman was a field-stretcher in college at Minnesota, averaging 20.5 yards per reception in 2019 and scoring 11 touchdowns. He's being taken highly in fantasy drafts, too; around 11.07 (fourth among rookie wide receivers). Preseason performance will affect his ADP moving forward, and be wary of over-drafting the rookie in this run-first offense. Remember, Bateman might be infinitely talented, but the limited volume of the Ravens passing offense increases the risk of drafting Bateman too highly.
