Rashod Bateman Leaves Practice Early, Expected To Be Fine
4 months agoBaltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman (undisclosed) jogged off the practice field an hour into Monday's training camp practice and did not return. However, head coach John Harbaugh said the injury is not considered to be serious. Given Bateman's troubles staying on the field through his first three NFL seasons, it's a good sign that he will likely be fine, but it's still concerning. The former first-round pick out of Minnesota has played in just 35 of his 51 possible regular season contests to begin his career and has collected 93 receptions for 1,167 yards and four touchdowns. There has been buzz surrounding the 24-year-old this offseason, but he could have a tough time being a weekly fantasy contributor in a run-heavy offense while competing for targets with Pro Bowl tight end Mark Andrews and ascending wideout Zay Flowers.
