Rashid Shaheed Could See More Opportunities On Saturday
2 years agoNew Orleans Saints rookie wide receiver Rashid Shaheed is expected to be the top target in the passing game in Saturday's matchup with the Cleveland Browns. Shaheed has seen his role increase over the past two games (seven catches for 170 yards and a touchdown), and will not be facing competition for targets from leading receiver Chris Olave (hamstring) and veteran Jarvis Landry (ankle) with both players ruled out. Juwan Johnson, Marquez Callaway, and Tre'Quan Smith figure to get looks in the passing game alongside Shaheed. Despite an opportunity, Shaheed remains a risky flex option due to the weather status for the game. In Cleveland, it is currently 1 degree with a blizzard warning. It's expected to continue to snow through tomorrow's game, so both New Orleans and Cleveland may commit to the run game in what should be a low-scoring, cold and snowy game.
