Rangers Expected To Call Up First Base Prospect Curtis Terry
3 years agoThe Texas Rangers are expected to call up first baseman Curtis Terry from Triple-A this weekend, potentially as soon as Friday. The 24-year-old is currently ranked as the 26th best prospect in the Rangers organization by MLB.com. He has been red hot at Triple-A this year, slashing .294/.375/.583 with 17 home runs, 53 RBI and 40 runs over 65 games. He was a 13th round pick of the Rangers back in 2015 and hadn't played above Single-A prior to this year. The Rangers' President of Baseball Operations, Jon Daniels, recently stated that the club would be promoting the organization's top performers in the minors soon. Based on how well Terry has been hitting, he will likely be one of the first names called. Fantasy managers in deep leagues and AL-only leagues looking for a high-upside hitter to take a flyer on should keep Terry on their radar.
