The New York Rangers have acquired right wing Patrick Kane from the Chicago Blackhawks. The 34-year-old was rumored to prefer a trade to the Rangers for weeks and he will now join a core of forwards that consists of Artemi Panarin, Mika Zibanejad, Vladimir Tarasenko, Chris Kreider and Vincent Trocheck. Kane spent 16 seasons with the Blackhawks, the team that drafted him first overall in 2007, and won three Stanley Cups with the organization. Kane was heating up in recent times with seven goals in a four game stretch prior to serving as a healthy scratch, and he should be rostered across all fantasy formats as he moves to a contending team.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller

Detroit Red Wings right wing Patrick Kane (upper body) is ready to rejoin the lineup on Sunday against the Vancouver Canucks. The team has activated Kane from Injured Reserve. The former MVP is good to go after missing five games due to an upper-body injury. Kane has notched 30 points (11 goals, 19 assists) in 42 appearances this season. It's been a tough year for him, but Kane was hot before he got sidelined. The veteran star has recorded six goals and 16 points over his past 12 appearances. Kane's return will bump Vladimir Tarasenko back to the third line.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

According to Ansar Khan of MLive.com, Detroit Red Wings right wing Patrick Kane (upper body) is not expected to return to action on Thursday against the Edmonton Oilers. Kane has missed the past three contests and is now expected to miss his fourth straight contest. Kane sustained this injury following their contest against the Philadelphia Flyers on January 21. However, the Red Wings are expected to welcome back left wing Vladimir Tarasenko (illness) to the starting lineup on Thursday evening. Before the injury, Kane was enjoying a nice offensive surge as he tallied 16 points (six goals, 10 helpers) over his previous 12 contests. During this stretch, the 36-year-old tallied 10 of his points on the power-play while averaging 2.4 shots on goal per game.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane (upper body) won't play on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Kane also missed Thursday's game, but head coach Todd McLellan said that Kane remains day-to-day. It is unfortunate timing for the 36-year-old, who had been on a heater recently, scoring 16 points in his last 13 games. Vladimir Tarasenko saw more powerplay time on Thursday, and should remain in that spot while Kane recovers. He makes for a decent add in fantasy.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller

Detroit Red Wings right wing Patrick Kane (upper body) will miss Thursday's Original Six matchup against the Montreal Canadiens. The 2016 Hart Trophy winner will miss at least one game due to an upper-body injury. He is considered day-to-day. Kane recently turned back the clock, racking up six goals and 16 points over a 10-game span. He has amassed 30 points (11 goals, 19 assists) in 42 games across the season. With Kane out, Vladimir Tarasenko will move to the second line for Thursday's action. The Russian forward is not a recommended fantasy target, as he's having a disappointing campaign in Detroit, logging 19 points (nine goals, 10 assists) in 46 outings.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
