Ranger Suarez To Throw Again May 7
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez (elbow) is scheduled to make another rehab assignment start on May 7 for Triple-A Lehigh Valley. If all goes well, manager Rob Thompson told reporters he could be activated and join the rotation. Suarez has made one rehab appearance already, throwing two innings of work on May 2, allowing no runs or hits while walking and striking out one. The southpaw has been on the shelf since the 2023 season began after dealing with left forearm inflammation during Spring Training. Last season, Suarez pitched to a 3.65 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and 19.5% strikeout rate with 10 wins over 29 starts. Fantasy managers can expect the same kind of results once he's back on the field with the Phillies.
