Randy Dobnak Looks Good In Spring Debut
4 years agoMinnesota Twins pitcher Randy Dobnak looked impressive in his spring debut on Friday against the Braves. Dobnak tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing three hits while striking out two batters. The 26-year-old pitched to a 4.05 ERA in 46 2/3 innings of work during the shortened 2020 season, posting a 62.1 percent groundball rate, which would have been the highest in the majors had he qualified. Dobnak seems destined for a jack-of-all-trades role out of the bullpen, though he will likely get a chance to make some starts, considering the health-risks of Michael Pineda and Matt Shoemaker. He won't be drafted, but fantasy managers should keep an eye on Dobnak.
