3 months agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Randy Arozarena will head to the bench for Sunday's series finale against the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park as the Mariners look to avoid a three-game sweep. Arozarena was beginning to pick things up offensively early in the second half of the season before he was traded to the Mariners at the deadline in late July, but the 29-year-old slugger has fallen on hard times again. He could use the day off after striking out in all five of his at-bats in Saturday's loss. Luke Raley is getting the start in left field for the M's and will bat cleanup, with Justin Turner playing first base and hitting sixth against Pirates right-hander Jake Woodford. Since joining Seattle on July 27, Arozarena has hit .239 (16-for-67) with a homer, five doubles, five RBI and 25 strikeouts in 83 plate appearances over 19 games played. He's also gone hitless over his last four games in 15 at-bats with 10 strikeouts. It's been a tough year for Arozarena and his fantasy managers.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
