Randall Cobb Returns to Practice
6 years agoGreen Bay wide receiver Randall Cobb (ankle) was in pads for Monday’s practice. He sat out Saturday’s annual Family Night practice with an injured ankle. It was reported that the injury was related to a surgery he had for his ankle this offseason. At this point, it seems his absence was merely precautionary after he aggravated it on Friday. There is no reason to read that much into the injury at this point and it should not prevent him from playing in any games. This offseason, Green Bay released veteran wide receiver Jordy Nelson, so Cobb has an opportunity to expand his role in the offense. Cobb had a big 2014 but has disappointed in the years since. He still maintains some significant upside that makes him a high-risk/high-reward player for 2018.
