Randal Grichuk "Not Thrilled" About Being a Fourth Outfielder
7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Randal Grichuk is reportedly "not thrilled" with the idea of being a fourth outfielder in 2018. With the Cardinals acquiring outfielder Marcell Ozuna from the Marlins and already employing Dexter Fowler and Tommy Pham, there simply isn't room for Grichuk to have a starting role next season. The source points out that Grichuk didn't "gripe" about a bench role, but certainly did specify that he would prefer an everyday starting role. Grichuk is a useful piece but doesn't deserve to start over any of the Cardinals current outfielders. He'll obviously only have fantasy value in standard leagues if he ends up in a starting role due to a trade or injury.
