Randal Grichuk Continues Hot Streak
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Randal Grichuk went 3-for-5 on Wednesday driving in two runs while scoring another in the Blue Jays 9-4 win over the Oakland Athletics. Grichuk is in the midst of a sustained hot streak, accumulating 15 hits across the past 12 contests along with three home runs and 10 RBI. Considered an afterthought in a crowded Blue Jays outfield after the George Springer signing this offseason, Grichuk has forced his way into the lineup after excelling over the past three weeks. Often struggling to get on base, Grichuk's .330 OBP entering Wednesday's game would be the highest of his career. The man known to many baseball fans the outfielder the Los Angeles Angels drafted one pick prior to Mike Trout, Grichuk is doing everything he can to make 2021 his breakout season.
