Rams Unlikely To Use Franchise Tag On Alaric Jackson
1 day agoESPN's Sarah Barshop believes it's unlikely that the Los Angeles Rams will use the franchise tag at a projected cost of $25.1 million in 2025 on left tackle Alaric Jackson, who will be a free agent in March. The Rams will have several different avenues that they can go this offseason as they look to address multiple positions on their offensive line, one of which includes searching for a new tackle in April's draft. L.A. could also end up re-signing Jackson if he hits the open market when the new league year begins. The 26-year-old went undrafted out of college at Iowa but latched on with the Rams and made his NFL debut back in 2021. Jackson became the Rams' starting left tackle in 2023 and started all 29 of the games he appeared in the last two seasons. He's on the rise but isn't guaranteed to be back with the Rams in 2025.
