Rams To Discuss Long-Term Deal With Kyren Williams
3 days agoThe Los Angeles Rams will meet with agent Drew Rosenhaus, who represents star running back Kyren Williams, at the annual league meetings this week to discuss a possible long-term contract extension, according to general manager Les Snead. After recording back-to-back 1,100-plus rushing yards and entering the final year of his rookie contract in 2025, Snead has said the team would like to "engineer a long-term partnership" with the 24-year-old Williams. However, both sides aren't exactly on the same page right now, and it could take time. Snead left open the possibility that Williams plays out the final year of his rookie deal without a new contract. He has become a surefire RB1 in fantasy, and his 14 rushing touchdowns in 2024 tied for fourth-most among RBs. The former fifth-rounder has become L.A.'s clear lead back and the centerpiece of their evolved running attack.

Rams May Be Open To Extension With Kyren Williams
2 months agoLos Angeles Rams general manager Les Snead indicated that the team might be open to working out a long-term contract extension with running back Kyren Williams this offseason after he had another strong year in 2024. Williams accounted for almost 81% of the Rams' rushing attempts out of the backfield this year and ran the ball 316 times for a career-high 1,299 yards and a career-high 14 rushing touchdowns while adding a career-high 34 catches (40 targets) for another 182 yards and two scores through the air in 16 regular-season games. He'll be heading into the final year of his rookie deal in 2025, which makes him eligible for a contract extension this offseason. The 24-year-old has gone for 1,000 rushing yards in each of the last two years and is the first Rams RB since Todd Gurley to score 14 rushing TDs in a single season. Williams will be a strong RB1 choice for fantasy managers in 2025.

Kyren Williams Runs For Over 100 Yards With Costly Fumble
2 months agoLos Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams had a good final stat line with 106 rushing yards on 19 carries and added one catch for a loss of one yard, but he had a very costly fumble that helped the Eagles secure a 28-22 win and eliminate the Rams from the playoffs. Williams had 17 touchdowns in his 18 regular and postseason games and totaled over 100 rushing yards in four of his last seven games. Williams ran for over 1,000 yards in the regular season and was one of the top fantasy running backs. He's lined up to be a clear RB1 next season as the focus of the Rams' offense, although Blake Corum could be worked into more of a timeshare if he's fully recovered from his forearm injury.

Kyren Williams In Another Tough Matchup
2 months agoLos Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams faced the Vikings last week, who allowed the fewest rushing yards per game in the NFL this season, and this week, things don't get much better as he faces the Eagles, who gave up the second-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs. Williams did still deliver last week, though, finding the end zone as a receiver while catching all three of his targets for 16 yards. He totaled 76 rushing yards on his 16 carries as well, posting an average of 4.8 yards per carry which was slightly above his season average. Especially with potential weather concerns, the Rams will lean heavily on Williams again this week in Philadelphia. He had 16 carries for 72 yards and a touchdown against the Eagles in their regular season meeting and produced at least 70 rushing yards in seven of his last eight games. Volume should be no problem for him this week, either, and he has touchdown-dependent upside as the Rams look to pull off a road upset against the Eagles.

Kyren Williams Hits Pay Dirt In Wild-Card Win
3 months agoLos Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams rushed for 76 yards on 16 carries during Monday's Wild Card win over the Minnesota Vikings. He also caught all three of his targets for an additional 16 yards and one touchdown through the air. It was another productive showing for the Rams' workhorse running back as he found the end zone for the third consecutive game. He finished 2024 as the overall RB7 in PPR leagues, achieving that mark for the second season in a row. Williams should continue to be treated as a premier option in fantasy and gambling circles, especially after Blake Corum (forearm) was placed on injured reserve last week.
