Rams Place Darrell Henderson On Injured Reserve
5 years agoThe Los Angeles Rams placed rookie running back Darrell Henderson (ankle) on Injured Reserve on Saturday and promoted running back John Kelly from the practice squad in a corresponding move. The 22-year-old third-round pick didn't wind up playing as big of a role in the team's offense as most projected before the season. Henderson had just 39 carries for 147 yards on the ground in parts of 13 games played behind Todd Gurley and Malcolm Brown. There's a good chance he'll be used more often in 2020 as the Rams look to continue to spell Gurley. With the Rams potentially resting starters in a meaningless Week 17 matchup against Arizona, Brown could wind up being a sneaky DFS pick on Sunday. Gurley and the rest of LA's starters will be risky fantasy options.
