Ramon Urias Skipping World Baseball Classic
2 years agoBaltimore Orioles infielder Ramon Urias announced on his personal Instagram Friday that, while he has fully healed from the sprained right knee he sustained at the end of the 2022 season, he will not participate in the World Baseball Classic for the Mexican team this spring. The Gold Glove winner posted a .248/.305/.4141 slash line with 16 home runs and 51 RBI in 445 plate appearances in 2022 while playing second base, third base, and shortstop. The O's have a number of infield candidates entering the season, so Urias will have a battle on his hands during spring training. His playing time and role will ultimately determine his potential fantasy value.
