Ramon Laureano Out Of The Lineup For Second Consecutive Day Tuesday
2 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano is absent from the starting lineup for the second day in a row for Tuesday's game against the Chicago Cubs. The 28-year-old has given mixed results at the plate, hitting .218 with a pair of home runs and two stolen bases across 15 games. Laureano's currently two for his last 16, so manager Mark Kotsay may be giving him a chance to reset. Kevin Smith is taking his spot in the batting order to take on starting pitcher Marcus Stroman. He'll play short and bat ninth. Smith, 26, is in the midst of his second campaign with Oakland and is struggling to the tune of a .160/.160/.160 slash line with no power and one steal. He has some potential at the plate, but fantasy managers are better off streaming a hitter with a proven history.
