3 months agoThe Cleveland Guardians are set to promote first base prospect Ralphy Velazquez to High-A Lake County. Velazquez, 19, was the Guardians 2023 first-round pick and is ranked the No. 83 prospect overall per MLB Pipeline. Velazquez earns the promotion after hitting .243 with 10 homers, 52 RBI and eight stolen bases for Single-A Lynchburg. The young hitter is very disciplined at the plate, which should get help him rise through the Guardians system and he also shows good contact and power skills. He is a few years away from a big-league promotion, but he is a name that managers in dynasty leagues should start to take stock in before it is too late.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
