Rajon Rondo Agrees To Deal With Lakers
6 years agoFormer New Orleans Pelicans point guard Rajon Rondo has agreed to join LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on a one-year deal. Rondo is still one of the league's top passers, but the Lakers will be his sixth team in the last five years, as the issues with the rest of his game have hurt his ability to stick anywhere. Rondo averaged 8.3 points and 8.2 assists per game last year, but he saw his three-point shooting drop after two years of steady growth. He did shoot 52.6 percent on two-point field goals, the second highest mark of his career, and he's a decent rebounding guard but with Lonzo Ball a lock to start at point guard if healthy and James leading the charge, Rondo won't have a chance to make it into the starting lineup. Expect his stats to shrink across the board.
