Rajon Rondo Acquired By Clippers
4 years agoFormer Atlanta Hawks guard Rajon Rondo is heading to the Los Angeles Clippers as part of a trade involving guard Lou Williams and two second-round picks. Rondo brings playmaking and defense to the Clippers' backcourt, two things they've lacked since the injury to Patrick Beverley (knee). The 35-year-old veteran is averaging 8.5 assists and 1.7 steals per 36 minutes, having proved he has plenty left in the tank with the Lakers during their championship run last season. Rondo is expected to take on a bigger role for the Clippers' second unit, though he is currently dealing with a groin injury- so it might take a few games before he makes his debut for Los Angeles.
