2 years agoThe Las Vegas Raiders selected Notre Dame tight end Michael Mayer with the No. 35 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. He becomes the third tight end off the board, landing in Las Vegas with offensive-minded head coach Josh McDaniels. The Raiders offense will be led by quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo while wide receivers Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers, and Hunter Renfrow present stiff target competition for the rookie tight end. Mayer is considered the best overall tight end in the class, but his unimpressive athleticism could limit his receiving upside.
