Raheem Mostert Worth Starting On Christmas Day
2 years agoMiami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert has re-claimed the role of lead back and therefore finds himself on the fantasy radar in Week 16. The 30-year-old will be tasked with running against the Green Bay Packers' defensive line on Sunday in hopes of propelling the Dolphins closer to the playoffs, all while leading fantasy managers to their own championships. Just last week, with teammate Jeff Wilson Jr. (hip) inactive, Mostert broke free for 136 rushing yards, 20 receiving yards, and one touchdown. Even if Wilson, listed as questionable, returns in Week 16, Mostert should remain Miami's primary back while ranking as a steady RB2 option in fantasy football. Also working in the veteran's favor? His matchup. The Packers have allowed 24.1 fantasy points per game to running backs, which is the 10th-highest mark in the entire NFL. On average, Green Bay surrenders 119.9 rushing yards (fifth-most) and 5.0 yards per attempt (fifth-most). Week 16 presents a great opportunity for Mostert to have another big game. Start him with confidence.
