Rafael Devers Takes Ground Balls, On Track For "Quick Return"
6 years agoBoston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers (hamstring) expects to make a quick return from a strain in his left hamstring, possibly in the coming weeks. His recovery has progressed to taking ground balls. Devers went on the 10-day disabled list on July 29. The 21-year-old is hitting .245 on the year with 15 home runs and 52 RBI. He was hitting well before the injury, too (.333 in seven games before going on the shelf). Expect him back soon and for those numbers to increase when he does.
