Rafael Devers Could Head To The Injured List
2 years agoBoston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers (hamstring), who is absent from the lineup on Saturday, could be headed to the injured list, per beat writer Julian McWilliams. The 25-year-old All-Star tweaked his right hamstring in Friday's lopsided loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. The Red Sox will likely hold him out for the remainder of the series before they decide to place him on the injured list or not. Either way, it's not encouraging news for Boston or fantasy managers alike. Devers is one of the best hitters in all of baseball, slashing .324/.379/.602 with 22 home runs, 55 RBI and two stolen bases in 349 at-bats this season. He should be considered day-to-day for the time being, but fantasy managers need to prepare for the worst in the meantime.
