Rafael Devers Activated Off Of Disabled List
6 years agoBoston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers was activated off of the 10-day disabled list on Tuesday afternoon. Devers had missed a couple of weeks with a hamstring strain. A trendy breakout pick coming into the season, the 21-year-old has heartily disappointed those fantasy owners who spent a draft pick on him. Devers has a .242 average with 16 home runs, 55 RBI, and five stolen bases through 102 games this year. It is doubtful he will be able to grab a full-time role over the last month of the season, which severely limits his fantasy upside. The Red Sox also purchased the contract of second baseman Brandon Phillips to add some depth to their bench. He has no fantasy value.
