3 years agoCincinnati Reds relief pitcher R.J. Alaniz (calf) landed on the 10-day injured list on Saturday. The righty left Friday's matchup against St. Louis because of a left calf strain, which isn't pleasant news, primarily since he just got the big league call nearly a week ago. Nonetheless, the 29-year-old hasn't done much this season during his three appearances in the majors, currently sitting on 3.38 ERA. As a result, it's safe to conclude Alaniz can be dropped in all formats, although he likely isn't on too many fantasy rosters anyway.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
