Quez Watkins Catches 53-Yard Touchdown In Week 2
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver Quez Watkins caught both of his targets, gaining 69 yards and scoring one touchdown during the team's 24-7 victory over the Minnesota Vikings Monday. The 24-year-old caught a 53-yard bomb from quarterback Jalen Hurts on the first play of the second quarter, giving the Eagles a two-score advantage. With Hurts having more time to go through his progressions this week, the ball was spread around the offense at a much higher rate. However, Watkins only recorded two targets and is still the clear No. 4 option in the passing game. Unless an injury occurs to one of the top three targets, Watkins can be left on the waiver wire in the majority of leagues. However, the third-year receiver is a player to watch over the next month with four favorable matchups on deck for the Eagles' passing attack.
