Poor Putting At The Plantation Course Hinders Corey Conners
11 months agoDespite gaining 6.5 strokes from tee to green this past week in Kapalua at The Sentry, Corey Conners finished T33 as a result of his horrid -7.1 strokes putting. Even still, Conners will be a popular DraftKings play at an elevated $9,800 price tag as well as a common wager among outright bettors when he travels to the Sony Open this week. In a similar fashion, the Canadian tore up Waiʻalae Country Club from tee to green in 2023, but finished T12 due to over three strokes lost on the greens. If the 32-year-old ball-striking specialist can correct these putting woes during his practice sessions on the islands, he's destined for a top-five finish with plenty of ability to take home an early-season win in Honolulu.
