Playing Time An Early Concern For Clint Frazier
4 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Clint Frazier had an optimistic outlook surrounding him coming out of spring training when he was named the team's starting left fielder. However, it's been more of the same story for Frazier, who has been stuck in a near-even split for reps with Brett Gardner, having started six games to Gardner's five in left field this season. Gardner has been putting together more patient at-bats in the early going, though it's a bit concerning that the team won't fully commit to their initial plan of Frazier as their starter, even with the latter in the midst of a slump. Fantasy managers will have to hope that Frazier, who has a .561 OPS and 29.4 percent strikeout rate, starts to swing the bat better, forcing manager Aaron Boone's hand.
