Pirates Get Two Prospects From Seattle For Tyler Anderson
3 years agoThe Pittsburgh Pirates received catcher Carter Bins and pitcher Joaquin Tejada from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for starting pitcher Tyler Anderson, the team announced on Twitter. Over 51 games between High-A and Double-A, Bins has slashed .244/.399/.433 with eight home runs, three steals, 35 RBI and 51 runs scored. Tejada is a 17-year-old pitcher who made his professional debut this year, and over five innings at Dominican Summer League, he has allowed six runs — four earned — on one hit, four walks and three hit by pitches while striking out eight. Both of these players figure to be quite a ways from the majors, and of the two Bins is really the only one worth considering in dynasty formats at this point.
