Pirates Asking for Big Return on Felipe Vazquez
5 years agoPittsburgh Pirates relief pitcher Felipe Vazquez is likely to be moved before the upcoming trade deadline. The Los Angeles Dodgers have reportedly shown interest in Vazquez, but the Pirates price is not cheap. Pittsburgh is reportedly asking for two of the Dodgers' four top prospects in return for the dominant lefty reliever. Starting pitcher Dustin May and catcher Keibert Ruiz are the main targets for Pittsburgh, according to Jon Morosi. Vazquez has an excellent 1.87 ERA over 40 appearances with 21 saves this season. The Pirates may have to lower their price, but we'll see how desperate the Dodgers become.
