6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates relief pitcher Kyle Crick (triceps) was activated from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday, the team announced. To make room for the reliever, the Pirates optioned infielder Kevin Kramer to Triple-A Indianapolis. Crick is a welcome re-addition to the Pirates bullpen that has allowed 17 earned runs in the seventh and eighth innings combined this season. In just two appearances this season before getting injured, Crick retired all six batters he faced, including three punchouts. He'll offer plenty of hold opportunities and could even be in the mix for a save if Felipe Vazquez isn't available.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
