3 years agoSan Diego Padres relief pitcher Pierce Johnson (elbow) will be placed on the 10-day injured list with elbow tendinitis. The team is calling up left-handed pitcher Ray Kerr to fill his roster spot. Johnson has been one of the Padres' top setup men early on this year with appearances in six games. He had a disastrous inning against the Atlanta Braves last Friday, allowing three earned runs and taking the loss for the game.
