Phillip Lindsay Struggles To Find Running Room Saturday
3 years agoHouston Texans running back Phillip Lindsay totaled 17 rushing yards on six carries while seeing one target in the passing game in Saturday's loss to Tampa Bay. Lindsay was utilized in rotation with fellow backs Mark Ingram II and David Johnson- though running room was not easy to find, as evidenced by his 2.8 yards per carry average. The 27-year-old would seem to be the favorite for early-down rushing work, though being the leader in carries for a Houston offense expected to struggle isn't exactly the best recipe for fantasy relevance. Still, Lindsay is undoubtedly the top option in the backfield, with Ingram and Johnson seemingly past their primes, meaning the former could work his way to the lead back role at some point.
