Phillip Lindsay Labors Through Tough Matchup
6 years agoDenver Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay picked up 60 yards on 17 carries while adding 24 yards on two receptions in the Broncos 19-17 loss to the Texans Sunday. Lindsay finished the day with a season-low 3.5 yards per carry -- as he struggled to find running lanes amid Houston's stout front -- but continues to pass the eye test and has now put up double-digit fantasy points (PPR formats) in every game this season (excluding his ejection-shortened Week 3). Royce Freeman seems likely to return following the Broncos Week 10 bye, but Lindsay has proven effective -- both on the ground and through the air -- and should remain a RB2/flex option despite the inevitable return of the committee.
