Phillip Evans Homers In Tuesday's Loss
4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates third baseman Phillip Evans hit his second home run in as many games, as he finished 1-for-4 and accounted for the team's only run of the day in a 14-1 loss to Cincinnati. Tuesday's performance now has Evans hitting 5-for-12 in his four games as he has seen an uptick in playing time with Ke'Bryan Hayes on the injured list. Tuesday's game saw Evans get the start in the outfield, and he's back in the outfield again for Wednesday's game, so he could be gaining some positional flexibility in the near future. He looks to have a solid bat that managers should target in deep-mixed and NL-only formats, as he should figure to get playing time somewhat regularly.
